On June 11, 2016,  Former Clarkstown South quarterback, Tommy McGuire was involved in a pool accident and suffered a serious spinal injury.

For the past five years, he has been involved in intensive physical and occupational therapy and is showing great progress and promise. And thanks to help from the community, through the Annual Tommy’s Turkey Bowl, Tommy has been able to purchase the much needed equipment that supports this progress.

In fact, this year he was able to walk for 45 minutes in the standing wheelchair that was purchased with the money raised from our last event. This year, he is hoping to purchase some tech equipment that will help him with his new job!

If you were involved, many thanks for your continued support. If you are new to the cause, many thanks for considering to help.

The fundraiser is currently in need of sponsors and raffle donations.

The sponsorship fee is $250, a tax deductible donation which can be made through the Help Hope Live

Foundation for spinal cord injury patients. https://helphopelive.org/campaign/11334.

Sponsors will have their name on all signage (from player t-shirts, to signage at the

event and the gathering that follows at the local restaurant Norcina).  Where possible, press coverage will also include mentions of sponsors. And sponsors will also be publicly thanked at each venue and are welcome to have their card there for participants and fans. The event draws close to 500 people.

Raffle donations are also a very big part of this event. Please consider donating a product or service from your business to help us.

For your reference, here is the event website and Facebook page from last year (which will be updated shortly):
